Reviewing and Cloning Outstanding Requests

Outstanding requests are those requests that are active: they are in the process of being supplied to the researcher or have been checked out to the researcher and have not been moved to a finished state. Cancelled and finished requests are not active. Outstanding loan and photoduplication requests can be cloned and resubmitted as new requests from the web interface. Outstanding loan requests can also be cloned and submitted as photoduplication requests.

Reviewing Outstanding Requests

To review outstanding requests:

  1. Click the Outstanding Requests link on the Requests menu.
  2. A list of all outstanding loan and photoduplication requests will be shown.
  3. Select the one you want to review by clicking the Transaction Number.
  4. The request is displayed, showing Transaction Information along with Notes and the Tracking log.

Cloning and Submitting Outstanding Loan Requests

Outstanding loan requests can be cloned and submitted as new requests by using the Clone Request command. Loan requests can be cloned when they are at a status of Awaiting User Review, Awaiting Request Processing, In Item Retrieval, Item on Hold, Remove From Hold, Item Checked Out, Awaiting Item Reshelving or Request in Processing.

  1. Outstanding loan requests reside under the Outstanding Requests link on the Requests Menu.
  2. Open the outstanding loan request by clicking the Transaction Number in the Outstanding Requests grid.
  3. Click Clone Request.
  4. A new request form opens. The item information is carried over from the outstanding request.
  5. Make any changes necessary and click Submit Request.
  6. The Outstanding Requests screen opens.
  7. The cloned request displays with a new Transaction Number.

Cloning and Submitting Outstanding Photoduplication Requests

Outstanding photoduplication requests can be cloned and submitted as new requests by using the Clone Request command. Photoduplication requests can be cloned when they are at a status of Awaiting Order Submittal, Awaiting Order Processing, In Item Retrieval, Awaiting Order Approval, Awaiting Order Billing, In Photoduplication, Awaiting Item Delivery, or Item Delivered.

  1. Outstanding photoduplication requests reside under the Outstanding Requests link on the Requests Menu.
  2. Open the outstanding photoduplication request by clicking the Transaction Number in the Outstanding Requests grid.
  3. Click Clone Request.
  4. A new photoduplication request form opens. The item information is carried over from the outstanding request.
  5. Make any changes necessary and click Submit Request.
  6. The Orders to Submit screen appears. Check the box next to the Transaction Number to select the request and click Submit Information.
  7. The new photoduplication request is submitted with a new Transaction Number and can be viewed in the Outstanding Requests grid.

Cloning and Submitting Outstanding Loan Requests as Photoduplication Requests

Outstanding loan requests can be cloned and submitted as new photoduplication requests by using the Clone Request to Copy command. Loan requests can be cloned as photoduplication requests when they are at a status of Awaiting User Review, Awaiting Request Processing, In Item Retrieval, Item Checked Out, Awaiting Item Reshelving, Item on Hold, Remove From Hold, or Request in Processing.

  1. Outstanding loan requests reside under the Outstanding Requests link on the Requests Menu.
  2. Open the outstanding loan request by clicking the Transaction Number in the Outstanding Requests grid.
  3. Click Clone Request to Copy.
  4. A new photoduplication request form opens. The item information is carried over from the outstanding loan request.
  5. Make any changes necessary, such as selecting Format, Shipping and Service Level options, and click Submit Request.
  6. The Orders to Submit screen appears. Check the box next to the Transaction Number to select the request and click Submit Information.
  7. The new photoduplication request is submitted with a new Transaction Number and can be viewed in the Outstanding Requests grid.
