Checking In/Out Items: Marking Return Items as In Transit

Marking an item as InTransit checks the item in from the Customer and sets the transaction at a status of In Transit to Customer. This is typically used in situations where the item is checked in at some location other than the Interlibrary Loan office, such as a branch library, circulation desk, or some other service point. Anything marked as In Transit in this fashion would need to be checked in again upon arrival in the ILL office before the check-in process is complete.
