Resolving CCC Credentials Error After Client is Left Idle

Purpose/Scope

Users may encounter a CCC credentials error if the ILLiad Client is left idle for a period of time with the Process Copyright form open. This is due to a known bug that prevents ILLiad from properly reauthenticating the CCC credentials after the idle period. The error message displayed will vary depending on the version of the ILLiad:

  • ILLiad 9.1:

Resolution

To resolve this error:

  1. Close the Process Copyright form in the ILLiad Client.
  2. Reopen the Process Copyright form. The error message should no longer display.
  3. If you continue to encounter this error, close and reopen the ILLiad Client.
  4. If the error persists after restarting the ILLiad Client, please check that your CCC Marketplace credentials are set correctly in the CCCUsername and CCCPassword customization keys in the ILLiad Customization Manager.
