Blocking a user prohibits that user from submitting requests. In the Aeon Desktop Client, uncleared users can be blocked in the Users Waiting to be Cleared form and both cleared and uncleared users can be blocked from within the User Information form. In the Aeon Web Client, both cleared and uncleared users can be blocked from the User Information page. When a blocked user attempts to submit a request, a message appears notifying the user they have been blocked.

A blocked user will be prevented from submitting new requests, but will still be able to log into the Aeon web interface and perform other actions such as viewing electronically delivered items, checking saved requests and request history, making invoice payments, etc. To completely prevent a user from logging into the Aeon web interface, see Disavowing Users.
