Note: You must be on ILLiad v9.2 or higher to use the Docline Automatic Updater.

If you have enabled the Docline Automatic Updater and are not receiving the automatic update prompts in the ILLiad Client, use the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Enable ILLiad Client debug logging.
  2. Restart the ILLiad Client.
  3. Open the ILLiad Client log.
  4. Check the log for the following warning: AtlasSystems.ILLiad.Client.FormMain - Unable to determine current docline release information.
  5. If this warning is present, ensure your normal ILLiad Client automatic updates are functioning:
    1. Check the ILLiad Client log for the following warning: AtlasSystems.ILLiad.Releases.UpdateChecker - Non-standard Release Update URL.
      • If this warning is present, open the ILLiad Customization Manager and check the ClientUpdateLocation customization key(s). The key value should be null/empty for all NVTGCs to use a standard production update URL.
      • If this warning is not present, this may indicate that the ILLiadClient.exe.config file is corrupted. Delete the ILLiadClient.exe.config file (default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\ILLiad) and run a reinstall/repair of the ILLiad Client application.
    2. Restart the ILLiad Client. If you still do not receive the automatic update prompt, contact support@atlas-sys.com for further troubleshooting assistance.
