Changes to the Default Print Template Location After the Aeon 5.1 Update

With the release of Aeon 5.1, the default location for the Aeon print templates has moved from C:\Program Files (x86)\Aeon\Print\ to one of two new locations based on the installation method chosen for the Aeon Desktop Client:

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Aeon\Client\Print\ for per-machine installations
  • C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Apps\Aeon\Client\Print\ for per-user installations

Print templates that had been customized prior to updating Aeon to v5.1 will not be automatically moved to the new location during the 5.1 update process. The new location will initially contain the default unmodified versions of each template after updating, while the old location will still contain the customized templates. Any customized print templates will need to be manually moved from the old location to the new location after the 5.1 Client update is completed.

For new Aeon 5.1 installations, no action is required.

Users upgrading from a prior version of Aeon to v5.1 should move any customized print templates from the old location to the new location that corresponds to the desktop dlient installation method chosen for that machine, overwriting the default versions of the templates installed in the new folder during the update process:

  • Per-machine installations: C:\Program Files (x86)\Aeon\Client\Print\
  • Per-user installations: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Apps\Aeon\Client\Print\

 This step should be performed as soon as the 5.1 Client update on the machine is completed.
