For an SMS notification to be generated it will require SMSText in the notification template, the user to have a mobile phone number added to their account, and for the notification preference to be enabled for the specific activity.
- Open the User record.
- Text and email setting display in the Notification Preferences section.
- Make sure the Notification Method is set to Electronic (the default status).
- Select the notifications that the user wants to receive through text message. The options are Account Cleared, Password Reset, Item Pickup, Item Shipped, Overdue, Cancelled, and Other.
- Click Save.
The Notification Method must be set to Electronic in order for text notifications to work.
