Setting Text Notification Preferences

For an SMS notification to be generated it will require SMSText in the notification template, the user to have a mobile phone number added to their account, and for the notification preference to be enabled for the specific activity.

  1. Open the User record.
  2. Text and email setting display in the Notification Preferences section.
  3. Make sure the Notification Method is set to Electronic (the default status).
  4. Select the notifications that the user wants to receive through text message. The options are Account Cleared, Password Reset, Item Pickup, Item Shipped, Overdue, Cancelled, and Other.
  5. Click Save.

The Notification Method must be set to Electronic in order for text notifications to work.
