Creating Status Specific Emails

Email templates can be designated to be sent only to a specific patron type. For example, the notification sent when users are cleared can be different for students and faculty.

  1. In the Ares Customization Manager, click on the Email Templates tab.
  2. Click New to create a new email, or select an existing template to edit.
  3. For new emails, fill in the fields as explained in Creating Email Templates.
  4. To create a status-specific email template, add -[status] to the template name. For example, an email with ClearUser-Faculty as the name of the template will notify faculty patrons that their Ares account has been cleared.
  5. Click Save.
