Fields Copied during Cloning

Requests can be cloned in the ILLiad client and from the web pages. Cloning can be done in all process types (Borrowing, Doc Del, and Lending). New buttons have been added to the ribbons to allow cloning. In Borrowing and Doc Del, you can clone to the same user or a different user. In Lending, you can clone to the same Borrower or a different Borrower. You can only clone Lending requests that have a System ID of OTH or LWEB.

The following fields (all process types) are cloned. Notes and History will not be cloned:

  • PhotoArticleAuthor
  • PhotoItemAuthor
  • PhotoItemPlace
  • PhotoItemPublisher
  • PhotoItemEdition
  • PMID
  • DOI
  • CitedIn
  • CitedTitle
  • CitedDate
  • CitedVolume
  • CitedPages
  • ISSN
  • ESPNumber
  • Pages
  • CallNumber
  • Location
  • ItemInfo1
  • ItemInfo2
  • ItemInfo3
  • ItemInfo4
  • ItemInfo5

Any active routing rules will be applied to newly cloned requests. If you have any routing rules for the Awaiting Request Processing or Awaiting Copyright Clearance statuses, these routing rules will apply to cloned items.
