Ares CUSTOMIZATION Tag

Print Friendly and PDF Follow

As of Ares Server v5.0.9/Web DLL v5.0.6, the CUSTOMIZATION tag can be used to display the value of a specified customization key as it is configured in the Ares Customization Manager. The only parameter it takes is "name," which should be configured with the exact name of the customization key that should have its value displayed on the web page.

An example use case for this tag would be to display any of the WebDefaultX values as text to your users on the Ares web pages. For example, to display the value of the WebDefaultCity customization key as it is configured in the Ares Customization Manager, the CUSTOMIZATION tag should be configured in the HTML for the web page file on which you would like the text to appear as follows:

<#CUSTOMIZATION name="WebDefaultCity">
Note: This tag displays the value of the key configured in the Ares Customization Manager and not the specific value for that user or item, which may have been overridden with a new value.
