The ALERTS tag is used to display alerts on any web page served by the Borrowing or Lending DLLs. The tag has no additional specifications, as the text of alerts and which alerts to display to web users are controlled by the staff settings in the ILLiad Client.
If there is more than one alert to display, they will display in the reverse order that they were added in the Client, so that the most recently added alert for the current timeframe is at the top. An example of how this tag would display in the HTML:
<#ALERTS>Typically, the Alerts display on the Main Menu of Borrowing and/or Lending web pages. Since the user must be logged in for Alerts to work, adding an alerts tag to the login or registration pages would not show any text.
