If the Transaction Number is unknown or if you need to search for requests or users, you can do this from the search screen on the Web Circ main menu.

Searching for Users

If the Transaction Number is unknown or if you need to search for requests or users, you can do this from the search screen on the Web Circ main menu.

  1. To search for users, click on the Users tab on the Web Circ main menu.
  2. Enter any user information. This search will attempt to find users that match based on the Username, First Name, Last Name, Department, Status or SSN.
  3. Users with matching criteria will display in a grid under the search box. Click on a user to see the user's information and any of the user's requests that at one of the following statuses:
    • Awaiting Customer Contact
    • Customer Notified via E-mail
    • Checked Out to Customer
  4. From the User Information page, you can click on a specific Transaction Number and make changes to the request from there.

Searching for Requests

  1. To search for requests, click on the Requests tab on the Web Circ main menu.
  2. Enter any request information. This search will attempt to find requests that match based on the Transaction Number, ISBN, Title or Author.

    In Web Circ, requests will only display in a search if they are at one of the following statuses:
    • In Transit to Pickup Location
    • Awaiting Customer Contact
    • Customer Notified via E-mail
    • Checked Out to Customer
  3. Results will display in a grid under the search box. Click on the Transaction Number to view details about the request.
  4. From the request page, you will be able to view citation information as well as basic user information. You will also have the options to Check Out, Mark In Transit, Check In, or Renew depending on the item's request status.
