Upcoming ILLiad Update on August 12th, 2024

Hello ILLiad Users,

The ILLiad 9.2.7 update has been temporarily removed. Some institutions have reported issues with CCC errors such as retrieving price. The Atlas development team is working on a fix now that we hope to roll out next week. If you’ve already updated the client and are experiencing this issue, closing, and reopening the form should resolve this error. If the workaround does not work for you, please let me know.

I will update in this thread once we have an update on when we’ll be re-releasing the update.

On Monday, August 12th, 2024, Atlas Systems will release a server and a client update for users on ILLiad v9.2.x. This update will include the following:

  • Update the external third-party Newtonsoft dependency used by the ILLiad System Manager, Web Service, Client, Customization Manager, and Staff Manager applications for security purposes
  • Implement the API translations feature that allows ILLiad to match values received from a 3rd party API and translate it to an ILLiad-friendly name

Additional details can be found in the release notes here:

Updating Procedures

Please review the release notes and contact your hosting provider with any questions.

Note: The ILLiad Server update is not required to run the ILLiad 9.2.7 Client update, however, the new ApiRequestMapping table will only appear in the ILLiad Customization Manager after performing the ILLiad 9.2.7 Client update

Client Update: If you are on ILLiad v9.2, you will receive a prompt to update as soon as the new version is released.

Server Update:

  • OCLC Hosted: Please contact OCLC support to schedule the update.
  • Atlas Systems Hosted: Hosting services will be sending a separate email on Monday 8/12/24 to coordinate the update.
  • Self-hosted: Please review the instructions for updating the ILLiad Server automatic updater.

Please forward this message internally as needed.

If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message or contact support@atlas-sys.com.
