If an Instructor changes the Loan Period of an Item, it will be flagged as Loan Period Changed by Instructor and will appear on the Ares client dashboard. The flagging will occur regardless of the Item's status at the time of the modification.
Processing Loan Period Changes
Instructors can change the Loan Period of an Item on the Ares web pages by editing a Course Item and selecting a new Loan Period. Once they have made this change, the Item will be flagged will the status of Loan Period Changed by Instructor. Additionally, a not will be added to the Item indicating the old and new Loan Period values.
- On the Ares home page, double-click the Loan Period Changed by Instructor queue to see a list of Items that have been flagged.
- Double-click an Item to see the new Loan Period. You can see this in the Loan Period field and also in the Notes.
- To clear the flag, click Remove Flag.
