Upcoming Ares v5.0.16 Update on Monday 8/12/24

Hello Ares Community,

We'll be releasing an Ares server update to resolve a couple minor LTI issues. There is no associated client update. This update will be v5.0.16. Release notes can be found here:

Updating Procedures

• Atlas Systems Hosted: Atlas will be reaching out to sites on the latest version (v5.0.15) that qualify for an automatic update next week. If you are on a previous version of Ares and would like to schedule an update, please contact support@atlas-sys.com to schedule your update with hosting services.
• Self-hosted: Please review the updating instructions and coordinate with your IT department to schedule the update. Note: The updating procedure includes new system requirements. The Microsoft ASP.NET Core 8.0 Runtime Bundle must be installed on the Ares Server before running the v5.0.12 server update to prevent disruptions in the Ares API after updating.
