Hello Sylvie
A patron can Clone a request at any point in the lifecycle of the request from Awaiting Request Processing to Request Finished. Cloning a request will create a new ILLiad request (i.e. new Transaction Number) with the same citation information from the original request.
The option to Resubmit a Request is only available when an request has been cancelled either by the patron or by ILL staff. Resubmission of a request will re-open the existing request, using the same Transaction Number. This process preserves the request history for the transaction.
Let us know if you have more questions about these processes.
