Patron Request Limits
Options to limit the number of requests a patron can submit are available in the Customization Manager.
Adding a limit will control the number of active requests allowed per user. If a user attempts to submit a request beyond the limit, an error message will be presented. There are 3 ways you can set limits--(1) limit all patrons (2) limit based on patron status (3) limit specific patrons.
In the Customization Manger, go to Web Interface --> Limit.
- To set limits that apply to All Patrons
- Add the maximum number of requests allowed to the RequestLimit key
- If set to 0, there is no limit
- To set limits that apply to a particular User Status (e.g. Undergraduate limit 5 but no limit for Faculty)
- Use the status specific keys (RequestLimitUndergraduate etc.), adding the maximum number of requests allowed
- If set to 0, there is no limit
- To set limits that apply to a specific user (e.g. particular user by user record for problem patrons)
- In the Customization Manager, set the UserRequestLimit key to Yes
- Apply the limit to the individual user in the user record in the Request Limit field
