Upcoming Ares Server Update on September 5th, 2024

Hello Ares Community,

We'll be releasing an Ares server update tomorrow 9/5/2024. There is no associated client update. This update will be v5.0.17. This update will include the following changes:

• Making the IIS website for your Ares installation configurable
• Changing the default location for the Ares Web API logs to C:\Ares\Logs from C:\Ares.

Updating Procedures

• Atlas Systems Hosted: Hosting services will not be automatically updating the server due to the changes only being required under rare circumstances. If you are on a previous version of Ares and would like to schedule an update, please contact support@atlas-sys.com to schedule your update with hosting services.
• Self-hosted: Please review the updating instructions and coordinate with your IT department to schedule the update.
