Upcoming Relais Downtime on 8/12 - 8/13

Hello ILLiad Community,

Over the weekend of 12-13 August 2023, OCLC will be migrating the Relais data center from Ottawa to Toronto. This will impact all North American Relais D2D and Relais ILL hosted customers, and your production Relais environment will be unavailable during this time period.

The downtime may impact your ILLiad workflows if you are using the UBorrow Relias server or client addons.

Processing Options During Downtime

Addons are installed per institution so there is no real way to do a system wide temporary turn off the integration within ILLiad. There are a couple of processing options to consider during the downtime:

• Don’t change any of your configuration settings. If a request fails to run through the Relais addon, check the RequestItemErrorQueue (The queue a transaction is routed to if an error occurs while attempting to perform the RequestItem call within Relais) and find alternative fulfillment options.
• Turn off the addon and temporarily modify routing rules so they don’t route to the FindItemSearchQueue designated in the addon settings.
