Aeon Virtual Symposium 2021 - Call for Proposals

Atlas Systems is proud to announce the 2021 Aeon Virtual Symposium. This year, we will host the Symposium in Atlas’s Virtual Events Center, which will allow us to host presentations and will give attendees the opportunity to interact with one another. Mark your calendar for June 2-3, 2021 and keep an eye out for more details and registration information.

We are currently seeking proposals for presentations/panels (30 mins), lightning talks (10 min), and poster sessions (5 mins) with a focus on resilience. It’s been a tough year; let’s use this opportunity to share what we have accomplished, what we’re proud of, and what changes were made in your repositories. Do you have an experience to share or an idea to explore with colleagues? All ideas are welcomed, including public services-related topics beyond the use of Aeon. Suggested topics include:

• Celebrating what you have accomplished – new services, adding new functionality or repositories in Aeon, beginning/completing implementation, etc
• "What will we keep?" - what practices/services will you maintain after COVID?
• Streamlining workflows
• Implementation and training (staff and/or patrons)
• Use of Aeon in creative ways to serve your patrons virtually or in more supervised settings

The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 30. Presenters will be notified by Friday, May 7 if their proposal has been accepted.
