OCLC Special Messages - Received? (Borrowing)
When you receive the OCLC Special Message "Received?" in Borrowing it means that you have not yet marked the item as "Received" in Borrowing. The message will appear 7 days after an article has been marked as "Shipped" by the Lending library and 14 days after a loan has been marked as "Shipped" by the Lending library. This could be for a couple of reasons:
1. The item has not yet arrived at the Borrowing institution. You should mark the item as "Not Received" to let the Lending library know its status.
2. The item has arrived at the Borrowing institution but has not yet been marked as "Received" by the Borrowing library. You should check in the item through the normal process or update the transaction to "Received" manually.
Please note that, when all is said and done, the book may have been lost on its way to the Borrowing library. Remember that the ILL Code for the United States stipulates that the borrower is responsible for lost items once they leave the Lending library, even if they are never received by the Borrowing library..
