Location Records: Locations Overview

Follow

Locations identify the physical place where top containers are located.

If you plan on using the space calculator in ArchivesSpace, then location is one of the components you will use along with top containers, container profiles and location profiles.

There are a number of ways to access location records. You can select Browse and then Locations and use the text field and filters to find existing locations.

Once in the Locations area, you can create Locations, both single and in batches.  You can also edit and delete locations.

You can also Create individual or batch locations from the Create menu.

You can also access location records by going into the top containers through the repository menu and also through the instances sub-record in accession and resource records.
